The deal is part of a two-on-two trade that will also send Dave Marcelo to the Elite in exchange for Raymond Aguilar.

“Air Force Ellis” was drafted by the Gin Kings in 2012. He is averaging 3.5 points, 3.5 boards and 1.0 assist this conference.

Dela Cruz, meanwhile, was picked ninth overall by Blackwater in the 2015 draft.

The San Beda standout average 12.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in his stay with the Elite.

A source told The Manila Bulletin’s Dennis Principe that the deal was a smooth one for both teams.

“Ok na, madali naman nag-agree yung teams. I guess they need to let go of those players para lumabas din laro nila. Both teams believe the destination of all players involve will present a new and challenging environment for all of them,” Principe quoted the source as saying.
